Story collection project

Calling all story tellers! I want to do a podcast where I have guests on to tell a story. The stories can be true or made up…topics may include but are not limited to:

Amazing true stories
Inspirational tales
Miracles large and small
Success stories despite the odds
Noble and funny (now) failures
Embarrassing funny stories
Weird idea stories, even just cool ideas

You can submit stories to me via email, and I will contact you to set up a time to record a podcast.

If this works, I’d like to make a book.

Juice “Fast” Reboot Prep: Benefits I have noticed…so far.

Since the new year, I have been preparing for a Juice “fast” Reboot…if you don’t know what that is all about…check out this post over at my Podcast Cast site “Shift Cast”…

So, to sum up I have:

– Limited beer to less then once a week
– Quit Caffeine
– I am weening off nicotine

In addition, I am eating more veggies and fruit and less junk. Very little meat, dairy, fish, and bread/pasta..


Weird Joint pains in hips, knees, and other places
Energy lulls at different times


Weight Loss
Overall energy increase
Increased mental clarity
Taste/Smell improved
Seems like I can hear better 😀
Deeper connection with Yayoi (my awesome and beautiful wife of 19 years!!)

The hearing improvement is most likely about having more mental energy to pay attention to music.

I will post more as I go…I just wanted to get this down before it went away…

Practicing Love

“The Path of Love” ,a book by Deepak Chopra, just came into my life and it suggested that “Love” is a force that can solve problems in my life.  Deepak suggests that I ask love to help me in my life…

I think the universe is made of love, so this is also like talking to the “stuff” everything is made of…so here we go!:


Love is meant to heal.

  • I want love to heal my habits that are are unloving toward my body, such as tobacco, alcohol and un-healthy food.
  • I want love to heal my body of past injury and pain.
  • I want love to heal any un-loving thoughts toward the people I love the most.
  • I want love to heal the pain of loss from people who I loved who are no longer with me.

Love is meant to renew

  • I want love to renew my sexual-feelings with my wife.
  • I want love to renew my enthusiasm for work.
  • I want love to renew my sense of being young and alive.
  • I want love to renew my ability to care for people in the present moment.

Love is meant to make us safe.

  • I want love to make me feel safe with my secret pain.
  • I want love to make me feel safe in the face of doubt and uncertainty.
  • I want love to make me feel safe in traffic.
  • I want love to make me feel safe from rejection when I express love.

Love is meant to inspire us with power

  • I want love to help me use power with love.
  • I want love to help me observe fear and doubt with the power to let them pass without identifying with them or allowing them to control my thoughts.

Love is meant to bring peace

  • I want love to establish peace in my entire being:  mind/body/spirit.
  • I want love to help me bring peace to fear and violence.
  • I want love to help me share peace with the world.

New Habit Creation – Walk 5 minutes after lunch

Howdy world,

I am working on building my skill of habit creation…and I need your help to keep me accountable.

I will start my habit on 30 May 2011. This week I am not doing the habit yet…the method is to plan the new habit for 1 week before you do the habit. The new habit is very simple. After lunch everyday, I will walk for 5 minutes (max 10 minutes). I love walking, so this habit is a positive way to get a little bit of exercise and fresh air, but more importantly to help me to learn the skill of habit creation.
