Step 2: Pay off your Credit Cards – Written a while a go

Step 2:?? Pay off your Credit Cards

I wrote this post before I decided to make a series on the steps to financial freedom so, I am going to give myself some link love and link to an older post for Step 2.??

Step 1: Live Below your Means: Have money left over after every pay check

When people talk to me about investing, they usually want to start somewhere around the middle of idea with questions like:

  • Hey, what should I invest my money in to make a lot of money?
  • Yo, I heard you make a lot of money on your investments, what mutual funds do you buy?
  • So, Mr. Investing guy, now that you lost all of that money in the stock market (after a big slump) what are you going to do now?

These are all great questions, but I always end up just referring people to www.fool.com because when I try to answer them, they really don’t understand what I’m talking about. The fool has 13 steps in the fool school, so far, I have 3 steps:

Step 0: Change the way you think about money

Step 0.5: Shift your Attitude Towards Money: Where do you seek Happiness?

California LLCs Pay $800 Annual Tax Bill

Just in case you didn’t know, if you are thinking about an LLC in California…think about Delaware or Nevada instead.?? California charges $800 in taxes every year for all LLCs registered in the state.

Oh, and yes, I know I’m stupid.?? :-)

Crushing Defeat! Giants 23, Packers 20

Ouch!

The Pack was favored to win this NFC Championship game, however they didn’t play all that well. Here are my notes (as a fan):

The Meaning of Life: YooperSmith Belief System

I usually have a difficult time articulating my belief system to others, so I thought I would try to write about it and see if I can sum up the essentials, so without further ado (drum roll in your head) here it is….(dramatic pause):

Step 0.5: Shift your Attitude Towards Money: Where do you seek Happiness?

Where do you seek happiness?

In my post “Change the way you think about money“, I discussed the way??I think about money. To sum up, when I was younger I thought that buying things would make me happy or somehow change my life or make me a better person. I soon learned that for me, this was not the case. I would buy the things that I desired or just spend money out on the town eating and drinking and perhaps trying to impress people. I learned that the things that I brought home did not change me, my life, or make me more or less happy.

New Category: Green Bay Packers!

I, Yooper Smith, like MANY yoopers across the U.P., am a packer fan. The packers went 13-3 this season and are the #2 seed in the NFC play-offs. Tomorrow the pack faces the Seattle Seahawks in historic Lambeau field in what I’m sure will be a great match up. I think most people think Green Bay will win this game, but it is not a for sure thing. Seattle is playing very well and they are peeking at the right moment.

Relax! There is nothing to fear.

Fear is all around us. Everyday, it seems there is something new to fear. I’m here to tell you that there is nothing to fear, so you can relax.

First, I don’t know anything, this is just what I believe, so you have to make up your own mind whether to choose fear or its opposite (it’s opposite is love in my humble opinion).

Second, we are all really perfect just the way we are, change less, perfect and eternal. Some how and some way, we have all convinced ourselves that we are on earth walking around in bodies. In reality, we are all one big quantum jumble of “I-am-ness”. That is a made up word: I-am-ness.
